Project Steering Group "Reduction/Elimination of Sources and Releases of Brominated Flame Retardants"

Leading country: Norway

Status:  No projects presently underway.  This Project Steering Group is reviewing possible follow up actions to the inventory work  produced in Phase I.

Timeline/Deliverables:  By Spring 2008, the PSG will determine whether to continue functioning through ACAP by undertaking work to identify and/or develop  treatment technologies or alternatives to the use of BFRS or to work through existing international Conventions.  If the BRF work continues under ACAP, a project  will be proposed and approved by the Working Group for commencement during 2008 or 2009.
