Project Steering Group "Reduction of releases of Dioxins/Furans in the Russian Federation with focus on the Arctic and Northern Regions impacting the Arctic"

Leading country: Sweden

Timeline/Deliverables:  This project will be providing tangible recommendations on improvements to technical processes and outreach to organizations and enterprises which generate Dioxins and Furans.  Work will commence on at least one demonstration project in 2008.  Facilities under consideration include  the Kotlas Pulp and Paper Facility, the Vorkuta Cement Plant, the Syktyvkar Timber Mill, and the Murmansk Incineration Plant.
