Project Steering Group "Phase-out of Polychlorinated Biphenyls in the Russian Federation"

Leading country: Russia

Status: Awaiting Phase-in pilot projects of the IHWMS.   PCB projects will be selected and initiated following successful completion and adoption of the Integrated Hazardous Waste Management Strategy in the Russian Federation.

Timeline/Deliverables:  If a PCB project is selected under the IHWMS, it should commence in 2008 and will likely consist of a demonstration destruction facility.
